The Forest Enhancement Society of BC is a Crown Agency that works to advance environmental and resource stewardship of British Columbia’s forests by preventing and mitigating the impact of wildfires; improving damaged or low value forests; improving habit for wildlife; supporting the use of fibre from damaged and low value forests; and treating forests to improve the management of greenhouse gases. Since its inception in 2016, FESBC projects have helped the BC Government achieve its climate change targets, added to the sustainability of BC’s natural resources, and increased First Nations’ participation in the forest economy.
Our vision is to enhance forest resilience to wildfire and climate change for the lasting benefit of British Columbia’s environment, wildlife, forest health, and communities.
We are a proud member of the Canadian Wood Waste Recycling Business Group.
